Ornithology
Hi! I'm Cody! I'm an developmental evolutionary ornithologist with a keen interest in feathers. In my current research, I'm using single cell sequencing technologies to understand feathers from a cell type point of view. I've mapped feather cell types, modeled their development and evolution, and am now working on understanding feather coloration.
I am currently a PhD candidate in Richard Prum's lab in the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley where I worked with George Bentley and Kate Wilsterman on Zebra Finch endocrinology. I am also interested in teaching and have worked with the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning as a graduate student fellow.
